Chicken wire is a containment material, not a predator barrier — a determined dog goes through it in seconds, and a raccoon simply pulls it apart. That reputation is deserved.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIt does not describe a 4 to 6 gauge welded panel.\u003c\/strong\u003e A heavy welded panel is a different product with roughly an order of magnitude more steel at every joint. A 4-inch opening is exactly the size a horned head goes into and does not come out of.
