Why use a metal post instead of a wood post?
Steel will not twist, cup, split or rot, which is what eventually pulls a wood fence out of line. One universal post also works for line, corner and end positions, so there is no sorting on site.
What sizes are available?
4" x 4" and 5" x 5" widths in 6', 9' and 12' lengths. Choose length by burial depth plus fence height: a 6' fence usually wants a 9' post so roughly a third sits in the ground. Frost depth in your region may require more.
What colours do they come in?
Midnight Black and Coffee Brown, dip-coated to match our fence panels. Availability varies by size and colour, so check the selector for the combination you want before planning a full run.
Can these be used with wood fence panels?
Yes. They are designed to accept wood-framed panels as well as steel ones, which is the usual reason people switch: the look of a wood fence on a post that will not warp.
What is the warranty?
40 years against corrosion on the dip-coated steel. Dip coating carries protection into welds and edges, where powder coat tends to thin first.
How are posts delivered?
We deliver on our own trucks and unload on your property — no freight broker, no depot, no LTL terminal. In our Standard regions (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) these travel Crane Truck for a flat C$149, free over C$2,500, made to order in about 2–4 weeks. In our Extended regions delivery is priced by distance and order total, there is no free tier, and Crane Truck is not available, so these ship to Standard regions only. C$500 order minimum. - Standard-size items (unused, original condition) — returnable within 30 days, subject to a 25% restocking fee. We pick returns up on our own trucks (scheduled around truck availability), at no return-freight charge to you. Because we handle the transport, you're not liable for any transit damage.
- Custom, cut-to-size & made-to-order items — because these are built to your exact spec, they are final sale.
- Cancellations — full refund before your order enters production; once in production or scheduled to ship, a 25% restocking fee applies.
- Damaged or defective on arrival — fully covered. Every shipment is freight-insured end to end, so anything that arrives damaged is replaced or refunded at no cost — you're never on the hook for transit damage.
