Galvanized After Welding — Why Our Welds Don't Rust

Every BarrierBoss panel is Class 3 heavy galvanized — the heaviest standard wire galvanizing class — applied AFTER welding, then sealed in our heavy-duty dip-coat. Welds are the natural weak point of any welded panel: typical competitor panels are welded from pre-galvanized wire, which burns the zinc off every wire intersection and leaves hundreds of bare-steel points hiding under a thin dip-coated. That's where they rust first. Our zinc goes on after the welds are made, so the entire panel — welds included — carries full protection. The deck-railing panels use 6-gauge welded mesh in a rigid steel frame. Typical residential guardrail code is a 36" (or 42") height with a 4" sphere rule — the welded grid passes the sphere rule. Confirm the required height with your local inspector and order the matching frame size.

What sizes and finishes does deck railing come in?
Framed panels sized to standard deck bays in dip-coated black, brown, silver, green and Corten, plus marine-grade 316 stainless for coastal decks. The 6-gauge welded grid keeps sightlines open while staying rigid underhand.

How does hog wire railing mount to my deck posts?
The framed panels fasten between wood or metal deck posts with standard brackets; no welding on site. Keep posts within the span rating and fasten top and bottom rails to each post.

How is deck railing delivered and how long does it take?
We deliver on our own trucks and unload on your property — no freight broker, no depot, no LTL terminal. In our Standard regions (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) unframed panels travel Loose Truck from C$49 and framed panels travel Crane Truck from C$149, each priced by delivery zone — about 2–4 weeks for both in Zone 1. Delivery is priced by zone, not by order total — Loose Truck C$49 in Zone 1 up to C$249 in Zone 4, Crane Truck C$149 up to C$349 — and is free on orders of C$5,000 or more.
