Every BarrierBoss panel is Class 3 heavy galvanized — the heaviest standard wire galvanizing class — applied AFTER welding, then sealed in our heavy-duty dip-coat. Welds are the natural weak point of any welded panel: typical competitor panels are welded from pre-galvanized wire, which burns the zinc off every wire intersection and leaves hundreds of bare-steel points hiding under a thin dip-coated. Our cattle panels are 6-gauge dip-coated welded steel in eight panel sizes — 3'×6' up to 8'×8' — with a choice of 4"×4" (open, modern look) or 2"×2" (contains smaller animals) welded openings. Order them unframed, or ready-to-install framed in pressure-treated lumber or Western Red Cedar.

Cattle panel vs hog wire — what is the difference?
They are built the same: 6-gauge dip-coated welded steel, the same 4"×4" / 2"×2" openings, the same eight sizes and the same 40-year warranty. The names just reflect the use case — "cattle panel" for ranch and livestock fencing, "hog wire" for modern residential runs. Pick whichever opening and frame suit your project.

Do cattle panels rust, and what finish do they use?
They are dip-coated (not powder-coated) steel, so the finish bonds into the welds, backed by a 40-year warranty against rust and corrosion. Black is standard; other dip-coat colors match the hog wire range.

How are cattle panels delivered and how long do they take?
We deliver on our own trucks and unload on your property — no freight broker, no depot, no LTL terminal. In our Standard regions (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) unframed panels travel Loose Truck from C$149 and framed panels travel Crane Truck from C$199, each priced by your order total — about 2–4 weeks unframed and 2–4 weeks framed.
