Position Overview
You’ll take full ownership of a roll-forming line — from coil loading to finished product — ensuring consistent quality and efficiency.
This is a hands-on, technical role suited to someone who’s mechanically skilled, dependable, and confident running industrial equipment with minimal supervision.
Core Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and adjust roll-forming lines for various panel and trim profiles
- Diagnose and correct issues with machine alignment, tooling, sensors, or electrical components
- Load and unload coils using a forklift, verify gauge, width, and finish before production
- Perform custom runs to order specifications, including quantity, length, and profile changes
- Read and interpret production sheets to confirm dimensions, materials, and job details
- Conduct first-article inspections and ongoing quality checks for accuracy and finish
- Perform basic maintenance and lubrication; identify when mechanical repair is required
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with safety procedures
- Collaborate with the production manager to prioritize workflow and minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of roll forming or metal fabrication experience
- Skilled in machine setup, diagnostics, and tooling adjustments
- Forklift operation experience required (certification preferred)
- Mechanical troubleshooting ability — electrical or pneumatic knowledge an asset
- Able to read tape measures, blueprints, and job sheets accurately
- Physically fit and comfortable handling steel coils and materials
- Self-motivated, punctual, and capable of running a production line independently
