Description

3D Welded Wire Fence Panels

A 3D panel is welded wire mesh pressed with horizontal V-shaped bends. Those bends are the whole point: they stiffen the sheet so relatively light wire behaves like something thicker. It is also sold as 358 mesh or anti-climb mesh, and you will see it on commercial perimeters, sports courts and utility compounds.

What the V-bend actually does

Rigidity in a fence panel comes from one of two places — the gauge of the wire, or the geometry of the sheet. 3D panels take the second route. Pressing a bend across the panel resists flex the same way a corrugated sheet resists bending along its ribs.

It works. It is also a way to use thinner wire, and that shows up at the welds, at the cut ends, and in how the panel behaves after something heavy leans on it.

Why we build the flat panel instead

Rigidity from steel, not shape. Our panels are 6-gauge wire in a welded frame — stiff because of what they are made of.
The coating reaches the welds. Galvanized after welding, then dip-coated, so the joint is protected rather than burned bare.
Flat panels cut and fit cleanly. A pressed profile has to be planned around; a flat panel sits against a post.
Same open sightline. You are not giving up visibility to get the heavier build.

Where 3D panels are still the right answer

If you need a tall commercial anti-climb barrier with a very small aperture — a substation, a rail boundary, a secure compound — 358 mesh is purpose-built for that job and we do not make an equivalent. For residential and agricultural fencing, a heavy flat welded panel gets you there for less.

What is a 3D welded wire panel?
A wire mesh panel pressed with horizontal V-bends. The bends add stiffness to relatively light wire, which is why the profile exists — it is a way to make thin wire behave like thick wire.

Is 3D mesh stronger than flat welded panel?
Not inherently. The bend stiffens light wire; a heavier flat panel achieves the same rigidity through gauge. Our panels are 6-gauge in a welded frame.

Do you still sell 3D panels?
No. We build heavy flat welded panels instead — same open sightline, rigidity from steel rather than from a pressed profile.
