Every order ships one extra end post to close your run (1 section = 2 posts). Hurricane-, FireSafe- and salt-tested; unlike aluminum or vinyl, steel won't warp, twist or fade. Easy & Fast Assembly – Our fencing system is designed for quick installation. Infill materials simply slide into U-shaped rails, eliminating the need for hundreds of nails, screws, or other fasteners.

Effortless Installation – Most installations require just four bolts per panel and self-tapping screws to secure the side rails to each post. (Hardware included.)

Low-Maintenance & Repair-Friendly – Fence upkeep is simple. If an infill panel is damaged, just remove the top rail, slide out the old panel, and replace it with a new one—no need for extensive repairs. For optimal strength and privacy, we recommend our 7/8's corrugated or deep groove/ribbed infill when using our standard Forever Fence system.

Versatile Sizing Options – We offer 4', 5', 6', 7' and 8' tall sections with standard widths of 72" (6') and 96" (8'), but we can also accommodate custom heights and sizes to meet your project’s needs.

Grey Frame Cattle Panel Fence Kit

Grey is the quiet middle ground — lighter than black, warmer than bare galvanized. It holds up visually against stone, concrete and coastal light, where a black frame can look heavy and a silver one can glare.

This is the complete system, not just the panel: grey steel posts, top and bottom tracks, side rails, 6-gauge welded cattle panel mesh and the hardware to bolt it together. Nothing in the fence line is timber, so there is nothing to rot, warp, stain or re-stain.

Why a steel frame changes a cattle panel fence

A cattle panel bolted to wooden posts is only as good as the wood. Posts move, rails cup, and within a few seasons the grid is no longer square. Framing the same panel in steel keeps it square permanently — the mesh is captured on all four sides in a welded track rather than stapled to a face, so it cannot sag, bow out under stock pressure, or work loose at the fixings.

Where it earns its keep: Coastal and exposed sites, stone or concrete boundaries, contemporary builds, garden and trellis structures.

Choosing your mesh

The frame colour is fixed — that is this product. The mesh inside it is yours to pick, in black, brown, silver or Corten, and in four grid sizes:

4" x 4" — the standard cattle grid. Livestock, boundaries, trellis and climbing plants.
2" x 2" — closer spacing for smaller animals, poultry runs and pool-side boundaries.
1" x 1" — the tightest grid, for small stock, rabbits and garden protection.
2" x 6" — a rectangular grid that reads more like a screen than a farm panel.

Pairs with silver or grey mesh for a tonal run, or black mesh for definition.

Finish and weathering

Every wire is hot-dip galvanized first, then immersed in a fluidized dip coat — a full immersion rather than a sprayed face, so the coating wraps each weld and cut end instead of stopping where the spray gun stopped. That is the part that decides how a wire fence ages, because wire fails at the welds and the ends long before it fails in the middle of a run.

Grey hides dust, salt film and hard-water marks better than black or silver, which makes it the lower-upkeep choice on exposed and coastal sites.

Non-combustible steel throughout — no wood in the fence line, which is what FireSmart® guidance asks for in the first 1.5 m around a structure.

📐 Custom Sizing

Most projects fit the sizes listed on this page — those are what we build, stock and price online.

We do make custom sizes within our standard range, and we quote them case by case. If your run falls between two listed sizes — say you need 7′ 6″ when we list 7′ and 8′ — we can build it. The cost depends on the dimensions, the profile and how much material the cut leaves behind, so custom sizes are not listed or priced on the site. Send us the measurements and we will tell you what is possible and what it costs.

Custom sizes are final sale. A panel cut to your dimensions cannot be restocked or sold to anyone else, so custom-sized orders cannot be returned or exchanged. Please confirm your measurements before you approve the quote.

These products can all be modified on site. Trimming a panel to close out a run is normal work, and you do not need us to do it for you — ask and we will walk you through how to cut and seal it properly so the finish holds up.

Just know that a cut edge is no longer a factory edge: cutting or drilling exposes unprotected steel and voids the steel & coating warranty on that component. Done the right way and sealed properly it will still last — so ask us before you cut.

What is included in the kit?
A complete all-steel system: cattle panel panels, steel frame and posts. Everything is matched, so you are not sourcing posts and framing separately and hoping the dimensions agree.

What sizes are available?
Ten combinations, in 4', 5', 6', 7' and 8' heights, each in 6' and 8' widths, so the run can be set out to suit the property instead of forcing 8' bays.

Which wire opening should I choose?
4" x 4" is the most open and the usual boundary choice. 2" x 2" and 1" x 1" are tighter where pets, livestock or children need containing. 2" x 6" is a wider rectangular mesh.

Why is it called zero-maintenance?
There is no wood anywhere in the system, so there is nothing to stain, seal or replace. Being all-steel, it is also non-combustible, which matters in wildfire-exposed areas.

What colours are available?
Black, Silver, Brown and Corten Steel.

How is the kit delivered?
We deliver on our own trucks and unload on your property — no freight broker, no depot, no LTL terminal. In our Standard regions (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) these travel Crane Truck from C$149, priced by delivery zone, made to order in about 2–4 weeks. Delivery is priced by zone, not by order total — Crane Truck C$149 in Zone 1 up to C$349 in Zone 4 — and is free on orders of C$5,000 or more. Outside those regions allow about 4–6 weeks. Standard-size items (unused, original condition) — returnable within 30 days, subject to a 25% restocking fee. We pick returns up on our own trucks (scheduled around truck availability), at no return-freight charge to you. Because we handle the transport, you're not liable for any transit damage.
Custom, cut-to-size & made-to-order items — because these are built to your exact spec, they are final sale.
Cancellations — full refund before your order enters production; once in production or scheduled to ship, a 25% restocking fee applies.
Damaged or defective on arrival — fully covered. Every shipment is freight-insured end to end, so anything that arrives damaged is replaced or refunded at no cost — you're never on the hook for transit damage.
